Our U18s put in a solid performance full of enthusiasm and energy in their first pre-season game against an experienced Clock Face team from two divisions above. The Bears looked good and held their own for large parts of the game which was really encouraging for the season ahead. The players went in at half-time with Clock leading 12-0 but, other than the scoreline, there was very little to separate both teams. Ashton showed great resilience to start the second half brightly and as they grew in confidence they managed to score some points of their own through tries from Ashley and Goodban. The game finished 18-10 and Ashton can be very proud of their performance this afternoon.
