Lottery
Purpose of the lottery
As the Club continues to grow, so does the requirement to fund the additional costs associated with training players & coaches, maintaining pitches & facilities and a variety of other unavoidable costs.
The easiest way to fund this would be to increase the subs levels. However, as a Committee we are very proud of the fact that we are one of the cheapest sports clubs in the area, making it as affordable as possible for children and adults to participate in a team sport and rather than increasing subs, we have looked at other options.
We believe that the Ashton Bears Lottery will allow us to keep subs at existing levels and will allow us to fully fund winter training and beyond. In addition, if there is enough participation then any additional funds will be reinvested directly back into the club and our teams.
How will this work?
We would like each team to sell as many lines as they can. Each line will give one entry to a weekly draw (full details below). These lines can be allocated to parents, grandparents, other family members, work colleagues etc. The Team Manager (TM) for each team will collate the list of names of all the people who wish to enter along with their selected numbers. These details will then be sent to Dave Higham (treasurer@ashtonbearsarlfc.com) who will administer the lottery.
The cost of each line is £2 per week. The winner(s) of each game will receive 40% of the total prize fund. The remaining pot will go the Club.

The rules of the game
The rules of the lottery are very simple and are as follows.
1. Each player selects 6 numbers (1-59) which are classed as one line.
2. Every Saturday as the National Lottery draw takes place, if one of your numbers comes up on the draw, then this is highlighted on the master list. At the end of every week, a list of all entrants and their numbers will be circulated to each TM.
See example below.
3. Once a player has all six numbers highlighted then they have BINGO and will win the prize.
4. If there is more than one winner at the same time, then the prize will be shared equally amongst the winners.
5. Each line costs £2 per week paid via standing order. The funds must be cleared in the account specified below by the Friday before the draw. No cash payments will be accepted.
6. IF ANYONE HAS NOT PAID THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF ENTRY MONEY AND THEY HIGHLIGHT ALL 6 NUMBERS, THEY WILL NOT BE GIVEN ANY PRIZE MONEY. In this scenario, if there are any other winners in the week then they will get the prize and if there are no other winners, the game will continue into the next week.
7. If anyone is behind with payments, then they will not be allowed to enter a new game until they have caught up with their payments.
8. All payments must go to the following account:
Name – Ashton Bears ARLFC
Sort Code – 60-01-24
Account Number – 48598585
9. Email treasurer@ashtonbearsarlfc.com to confirm Standing Order has been set up, chosen numbers, email address and mobile number.
10. Payments to be started on week commencing after the pervious lottery has been won. In order to make the administration easier, a weekly standing order should be set up and the payment reference should give the entrants name and age group associated with.
11. Any non-club members must first join the club to be able to take part in the club lottery (via this website - click Log On above).
